Horses And Reptiles On Match.com |

unlike, i think, a lot of men on match.com, i actually scroll down and read the “fill in the blank” part of their profile. you know, where they put their body type and income.
oh, right, and more important additional things like their religion and their pets.
i’ll be honest, i’m checking for only three things: their body type (assuming they have a realistic perception of this), their income, and whether they care if I have kids.
then i got curious: if someone were to scroll down to that section in my profile, what would they think? for example, i don’t disclose my pathetic income which could actually tip them off to the fact that i have a pathetic income and am praying whoever i find for a date doesn’t go all feminist on me and expect me to split the bill.
so i attempted to view my profile with an external eye, if that’s at all possible: i scrolled down to the “fill in the blank” section to see what it said….ah, here we go….body type, income, piercings, pets, blah, blah, blah…”pets i don’t have but like: horses and reptiles.”
what?
yes.
horses and reptiles.
um, sure, i like those animals. so, does that say something about me? something important? because all it says to me is: it must have been 2am when i filled out that part.
forgive me, master, but i think i have been denying the force. i am not yet an online dating believer.
